Where will your next round of home renovation ideas come from? In addition to all your social media inspirational follows, a Central Indiana staple is the annual “Home-A-Rama”. This year’s home show consists of 5 incredible custom homes that range in price from $4,000,000 to $6,000,000 in a new development called Promontory in Zionsville, IN. We know most all of us aren’t buying a home that expensive in our lifetimes, but there is still so much to see and learn that applies to our own home projects. Keep reading (or check out my 12 minute video giving you a tour of some of my favorite things to see at the show) as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
Are you a visual person who knows what you like when you see it? We have many clients who share that trait. They do their best work creating idea books online to show us things they like. We love that because they tend to share many pictures that reflect similar themes. These “themes” can help guide us to offering real solutions that the client wants for their home.
Builders Association Of Greater Indianapolis (BAGI)
There’s another way to get ideas and if we may give a bit of background, we’ll explain. The Builders Association is made up of a professional group of custom builders, remodelers, large production builders, multifamily builders and many of the professional associate suppliers that provide products and services to them. We’ve been in this organization for 25 years and actively participate to learn from other professionals, network and put ourselves in the best position to serve our clients. Most of the companies we interact with are members of BAGI.
Home-A-Rama
BAGI does many, many things each year to benefit it’s several hundred member companies, but there is a single event that is very focused on the public that stands out amongst all the rest. Home-A-Rama is an annual home show that has been around for all of our 25 years in the industry… and it was happening many years before us as well.
It has always been an elaborate home show presented once a year that has featured several homes in a single neighborhood and the quality of the homes has always been worthy of a visit. Never disappointed, we ourselves as professionals love to walk through and see what our professional peers are featuring in new homes as these trends tend to create the ideas our remodeling clients come to us with as their inspiration.
Thousands of people will visit this year’s show and having seen these homes in person, we can confirm they will not be disappointed.
The Details
This year’s show is in a neighborhood called Promontory in Zionsville, IN. Each of the 5 homes sits on a 2-3 acre lots, so wear your walking shoes.
Remaining show dates are September 19-22 and September 26-29.
