I'm a Twitter junkie... so I follow a variety of people and topics. Whether it be business, politics, sports, remodeling, there is always something of interest. I can find up to date news on any important story in about 12 seconds and it is my quick source for everything.
This week's motivation topic came from an interesting twitter message discussing a passage of a book called "The Energy Bus". I have to be honest in saying I have no clue what the book is about (although I could guess). Here is the passage that drew my attention this week:
The question is asked in the book of one of the characters, "But what do I do with the negativity that I have?"
And, here is the reply:
She pointed to the trash bucket. "Right there... You let it go. You release it. You throw it out. You transform it. When work is piled high on your desk, think about how thankful you are to even have a job while so many are unemployed. When work is driving you crazy, think about the fact you are healthy enough to work. When you are sitting in traffic, be thankful you can drive a car while so many have to walk miles just to get clean water. When the restaurant messes up your meal, think about how many unfed mouths there are in the world. And, as I told my father a number of years ago when he lost the love of his life - my mother, 'You had the kind of love for so many years that many people spend a lifetime searching for and never find. Let's be thankful for that.' When there is a negative there is always a positive. When there is a dark cloud, there is always a sun shining behind it."
Can you transform your negativity this week? Let's all try!
Have a great week everyone!
